just finished my first patient!!!
i was happy that i could even complete it!
was super drained by the end of it...
was a tad bit disorganised... didn't really organise my routine well... and i expected more supervision but i was pretty much left on my own... more supervision means more marks taken off but more guidance. more guidance is better of course! haha cos at times, i felt a bit unsure about what i was doing... meh...
my patient was a 44 year old truck driver... REALLY nice and patient. he had to sit there for 2 plus hours... basically everything was checked twice by both me and my supervisor...
stupid slit lamp kept screwing up and jamming... had to call in some other student's supervisor to help me unjam it... it was so funny! at first, everything was in focus. then after that, everything went blurry... i was quite stressed at that point... so just anyhow jot down any valid findings then went on to my direct opthal... his pupils were pretty small so i was worried i wouldn't be able to see anything...but still went okay :) was pretty doubtful about the CDR and the ISNT so spent a lot of time trying to estimate it... after i finished my direct opthal, i went back to the slit lamp (see damn disorganised right!) worked for me this time. PHEWWWWWWWWW!
refraction was good though! hehe, my ret was pretty close... axis abit off la. but nvm! haha i was happy, cos my ret sucks! the power i found was quite close the my supervisor's haha so yay!
YAY!!!!!!!!
GOOD DAY!!!!!!!!!!!
got night market gig practice tonight yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! unwind :)
