AHHHHHHH shitttt
just uploaded a whole load of pics on flickr and i've hit my upload limit for this month!
but i still have so so soooooo many more pics to upload. bleaahhhhh. :(
anyways, we are supposed to go swimming again with cheryl but the aircon guys came. and my grandma's not in. so we have to jaga the house. mannnn. shldn't have let them in, i want to get out of the house!!!! hopefully my grandma comes back soon. :)
the local alternative bands thing at the esplanade was a disappointment!!! not in terms of music but cos of the rain, 2/3rds of the programme got cancelled. luckily we didnt go down for nothing n still enjoyed abt 1 hr's worth of pretty good music. the first band that played sounded superrrrr radiohead-y. daph said the singer's voice sounds like a cross between thom yorke's and the maroon 5 guy's voice. i just think he sounds like thom yorke...okay, 95 percent of the time he does. especially the high parts. heh... first band was alright la. was a lil tooo distorted for my liking and the vocals were a bit soft. and it kills me whenever i can't hear the lyrics. but oh wells. they had nice titles like "the call-it-off phobia". :) so heart-wrenching man.
the drummer of the first band turned out to be the lead singer of the second band. hahaha. was damn surprising. the second band was quite mambo jambo. their music had like...mixed influences? yeah like their first song was very breaking benjamin, their second song was very rooney and their third song was my fave!!! i practically melted in my seat. haha. they got the drummer to come up and sing (and i thought he was the best singer the whole night!!! are all drummers multitalented? hehe) and he dedicated the song to his friend whom i think is more than a friend. and it was very bbmak/blind melon/mr. big. a chirpy chirpy sort of song that had super cheesy (but at the same time, sweet) lines like "i've not felt like this in soo many mooonsss" and "this is the start of something good, don't you agree?"
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
okay. back to boredom. :(
