hur hur. i feel old. on thursday, my optom gang went to julia's house for lunch. i think u can sort of count it as a semi pot luck thing cos i baked apple crumble and caryn brought this pandan soya bean drink thing. and danni brough nothing. haha. julia cooked chicken curry for us! and some lovely soup thing with tow kee (sp?) in it. i love tow kee! hehe. and oh ya! she also cooked egg plant with minced chicken stuffed in it. she cooked the minced chicken with miso paste. SOOOO nice i tell u. :) she said that she kinda stole the recipe from the japanese restaurant that she works at. i wanna try cook it. :) the miso paste really does wonders.

then after lunch we played mah jong while watching oprah. hehe, now u see why i feel old. potlucks, mahjong sessions and oprah. what a combination man. the only thing that saved the day was probably the rnb we listened to to prevent ourselves from falling asleep at the mahjong table. haha. watching julia sing hollerback girl in her ah soh clothes was the highlight of my day man... oh ya and moreover, while we were playing mahjong, julia's younger sister (who's older than me) came back with her boyfriend. somehow i felt older than her sister!!! i shld be doing that too man, getting out there and getting back into the dating scene. actually, just get into it cos i can't really get back into something that i haven't started yet right? haha, ok just kiddin'. give me mahjong anyday. :) i hued three games!!! i think my mahjong skills are improving so heh heh. watch out all of u back home. :p aiya, but i still lost to julia by one chip. :(

Last night, family friends came over for a steamboat dinner and i casually mentioned over dinner that i felt old cos i now REALLY like steamboat, something which i hated when i was younger. back then, i couldn't fathom how pple actually thought that steamboat could be a meal cos to me, it was just too healthy and too unsatisfying. heh. but taste buds change.

Just came back from a part sian-ning, part really fun, part quite informative flare make up workshop. learnt heaps about foundation! really man, i'm such a goondoo when it comes to foundation. :p and and and eye glitter is so pretty. :D we're gonna be putting silver eye glitter for bernice's piece for the angelic effect. hehe *grin* i can't wait to play with the eye glitter. :p oh ya!!!! there was this chanel eye shadow palette that had only black and red eye shadow side by side. so cool man. the vampires for fionna's piece are gonna be putting really heavy black eye shadow on their upper lids and then they're gonna line their lower lids with red eye shadow so we were saying that that palette must have been made specially for fionna's piece. haha. i want that palette!!! reminds me of the white stripes. :) i gotta go buy translucent powder now... think it really is quite useful. pics are gonna be up soon. haha, i got so many pics to upload. gotta relieve my poor digi cam of the burden its carrying.

anyhoo, i came back just in time to watch the final quarter of the aussie footie grand finals. westcoast eagles lost to the sydney swans :( i want to cry la. sigh. it was a low scoring game but oh mannn... such a close fight! i felt so stressed for them. they were trailing 39, 41 at first then after that, they scored two goals which put them in the lead 51, 41. then after that a lot of shit happened then in the end, the game ended 54, 58. haiyaaa. :( this is disappointment at its best.
